WWE Smackdown Results July 2, 2010

WWE Smackdown Results July 2, 2010 – The July 2nd WWE Smackdown was a wild ride for everyone who watched it. The announcers kept hyping up a one on one match between Kane and Luke for later in the evening throughout the show. Jack Swagger entered the stage shortly after the opening ceremony and started to day that he wanted to make other wrestlers suffer. They ran a number of clips that showed Swagger demolishing opponents. He also talked about how upset his father was when he was robbed of the title.
The Big Show then came out and interrupted him, saying that Swagger never finished the first match between them. He dared Swagger to try the same moves that he had used on him in the previous match, and Swagger maintained that he had already beaten him and that he had no more to prove. Cody Rhodes came out and attacked the Big Show from behind. He fought back, but was ultimately taken off-guard and was not able to defend himself like he hoped that he would.

Mysterio came running out from the back to save The Big Show. After the fight, Matt Striker and Todd Grisham gave an on-camera interview, detailing their intentions and announcing six competitors for the Smackdown MITB match: Kane, Matt Hardy, Cody Rhodes, Christian, Kofi Kingston and Big Show.
Kane was able to beat Luke Gallows, via disqualification early in the match. Overall it was a disappointing match. MVP was able to take down Chavo Guerrero in a match that was especially violent.
In the match of the night, which pitted Rey Mysterio and The Big Show against Cody Rhodes and Jack Swagger, Big Show and Mysterio were able to leave with the victory by disqualification. The event was exciting and was well worth the wait.
