Work of Art: The Next Great Artist Season 1 Episode 4:Watch A Shock to the System Online S01E04 – Work of Art: The Next Great Artist season 1 , episode 4 called A Shock to the System aired on Bravo last night. Normally I wouldn’t be so excited about a show like “Work of Art: The Next Great Artist.” In fact, I probably wouldn’t even give it a chance. However, “Work of Art” has captivated me in a way that I never expected. Every week I sit down and each hour of the show seems more compelling, more amazing than the last. In fact, this week on “Work of Art” was the best episode that I’ve seen yet. The crews of art makers were presented with the overwhelming task of creating the most shocking work of art that they could. The team was able to welcome to task with open arms. The show even featured an exciting new addition, a guest judge, Andres Serrano. The show brought me to a tough decision though.

I wasn’t sure what was actually more entertaining, either the artists and their creations or the pictures that highlighted Jesus Christ covered in urine. That’s right; it’s the very images that started the 1980’s culture wars. Abdi studied art in college and still had troubled recognizing where the images came from. However, he was able to recover from the confusion by winning the nights challenge.

The remaining works of the episode featured highlights of all the best art works throughout the challenge. John lost the event with his “auto-follacio” piece and Jaclyn drew second with her well crafted nude torso drawing. Miles came up with an interesting piece recounting on his “first erection” in his art work. Apparently he says it was inspired by The Little Mermaid, perhaps a bit too much information. Jaclyn and Erik even brought some drama to the hit new television show. The two got into quite the tussle about how he stole her idea for his art work.
Last night John and Nao were eliminated.
