Popular TV show “The Office” has hired movie star funnyman and “Saturday Night Live” alum Will Ferrell as a guest start for several episodes of the series in hopes of gaining viewer momentum with the exit of the star of the show Steve Carell.
The LA Times says that Ferrell will portray a manager who arrives at the company and is similar to Carell’s character.
Both Ferrell and Carell co starred in the comedy “ Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy “ and coming in as a partial replacement for Carrell will bring in new fans as well as help the present viewers feel more comfortable about the transition of Carrell out of the storyline.
Ferrell is such a big draw due to his string of box office hits and other popular venues that this addition to “The Office” will stir up much conversation and speculation to the popular sitcom.
To have two big movie stars appearing in a regular sitcom is a coup and getting Ferrell can only mean he’ll widen his already stellar appeal and perhaps draw more big stars to the show when his stint of episodes is over.
The executive producer Paul Lieberstein emphasizes this draw of big talent and the show’s reputation of discovering new talent such as Carrell who has gone on to make a major movie star and celebrity of himself.*Sponsored Links*
