U.S. Open TV Schedule Golf

U.S. Open TV Schedule Golf – The US Open TV schedule 2010 starts on ESPN today. However, the TV schedule is going to be altered because of the plethora of different sporting events that are taking place today. ESPN will also be showing World Cup action throughout the day, and will have to move their golf coverage to ESPN 2 throughout the afternoon. Along with that, the opening round also will take a back seat to the NBA finals, which will also feature the Los Angeles Lakers. Both events will be taking place in California, but obviously the NBA finals are the bigger spectacle of the two.

The tournament will start in the early afternoon, and will go into the night while players finish up their rounds. The first round coverage began at 1 PM, and will continue throughout the day. Star Tiger Woods will not be teeing off until 4:36 PM, leaving many wondering how he will perform after a lackluster performance in his last tournament. NBC will cover his first few shots, before ESPN takes the coverage of the tournament back over.
The schedule will be the same throughout the weekend, and will only have to compete with the World Cup throughout the rest of the weekend, because tonight will be the final game of the NBA finals. With so much happening in the World of sports, many sport fans have found it hard to concentrate on golf, and instead have opted coverage of the World Cup and the NBA finals.
Play throughout the first day was hampered by bad weather, and many players did not perform up to their expectations.
