Two and a Half Men season 8 episode 5 called “The Immortal Mr. Billy Joel” which was directed by James Widdoes and written by Chuck Lorre, Lee Aronsohn & Don Foster aired this evening on CBS.
Now that our favorite leecher aka Alan is back living with Charlie after burning Lindsay’s house who dumped him for her cheating ex-husband, Mr Harper found himself alone in the beautiful Malibu beach house for few days and does what all crazy brothers do-he pretended to be Charlie.
While Charlie sneaks off to Las Vegas to see Dr. Schenkman, for some cosmetic surgery including a nose job
Alan goes out on the town pretending to be Charlie, wearing his clothes, spending his money and eventually meets a girl name Gretchen (played by Errin Hayes).
Being Charlie is great, the girls fall to your feet like snowflakes.
But seeing Alan is very unlucky in life Gretchen goes back to his house and calls him out on his lies-telling him she knows the real Charlie intimately.
But her love of role playing pushes her to stay and have wild sex with Alan dressed in Nazi dominatrix leather outfit.
Overall it was a pretty good Alan-centric episode full of quick lines and unexpected turns.
With 8 seasons under their belts we are surprised that the writers never had Alan pretend to be his brother before.
Few hilarious tidbits from the installment:
Having Alan sing “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” was hilarious seeing that he did start the fire that destroyed Lindsay’s home.
Alan saying “who’s your daddy ” while enjoying the closed circuit camera views of his butt in Charlie’s bed.
Alan: Do you have any idea how long it would take me to earn that kind of money?
Charlie: Oh don’t think like that. You’re never going to earn that kind of money.
