Barbara Walters did a show about three transgender children and their battles,last night.”20/20″ caught with them as a follow up story.The three families have revealed that since doing the show one year ago their lives have been better.Advocacy groups such GLAAD admits that young transgenders are coming out.But sadly some reports said:
Most transgender children still live in the shadows, hiding from a world that sees them as freaks of nature. Rejected by their families, many grow up hating their bodies, and fall victim to high rates of depression, drug abuse, violence and suicide.
Today, lots of families with transgender children have teamed up thanks to the Internet and are helping their kids.
