The Secret Life of the American Teenager Season 3 Episode 5: Watch Which Way Did She Go? Online S03E05 – The Secret Life of the American Teenager Season 3 Episode 5 called “Which Way Did She Go?” which was directed by Keith Truesdell and written by Brenda Hampton aired last night on ABC FAMILY.
Last night’s episode of the ABC Family show titled “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” took on a very large scale political issue. The guest appearance of Bristol Palin, the daughter of the former vice president running mate, Sarah Palin was the center of the controversial spotlight. It’s no secret that Sarah Palin was brutally attacked with questions and embarrassment regarding her unmarried teenage daughter Bristol. Bristol was undoubtedly pregnant and despite Sarah Palin’s views, she insisted that her daughter’s pregnancy not be discussed.

Sarah Palin suggested that the situation with her daughter had no relation to politics and therefore shouldn’t be an issue during her campaign. She stood by the pro-life beliefs that she preached. Some accusations suggested that Trig, Sarah Palin’s son might actually be a child of Bristol’s from a previous relationship.
Putting all of the once heavy controversy behind us, it’s understandable that no parent would want her unmarried daughter’s pregnancy to be in the spotlight. Certainly appearing on a television show regarding teen pregnancy isn’t the type of attention she wanted. However, Bristol Palin took the spotlight during the last 10 minutes of the show “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.” No one really knows why she decided to go on the show with her guest appearance other than the fact she had a relation to the situation. Bristol Palin was never the type to talk about her pregnancy and discuss the troubles she’s faced. In fact, we never saw any emotion from her as a teen mother who was enduring tough times. The show covers abortion and pro life sides however it makes it very hard to discern which side of the matter the television show is on. Perhaps they want to stay at a happy medium so that there aren’t issues over the political views of the show.
