The Real Housewives of D.C. Premiered – The Real Housewives of Washington, D.C. which premiered this evening on Bravo has people talking. The cast of the new reality show is composed of Mary Schmidt Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Michaele Salahi, Stacie Turner and Catherine Ashley Ommanney.
“The Real Housewives of DC” will put a different spin on a very familiar concept. The show will still feature all of the drama and fighting that the previous seasons had, but will have a special twist that is sure to make things that much more exciting. Instead of just following everyday wealthy housewives, the show will follow women from DC who are involved in politics.
The show starts Thursday, and will be very much like the previous seasons which featured women from New Jersey, Atlanta, New York and Orange County. Some of the women on the show will be friends, but it is clear that most of them would not spend so much time together if they were not co-starring on the same reality television show.
The appeal of these shows is that you get to watch the train wreck lives of these wealthy women. Even though it is based in DC, it will not show the insider lives of many people in Washington DC, but instead will show the average life of a wealthy housewife from Washington.
It will be interesting to see how well the women get along this season. Previous seasons have had some of the most intense drama and fighting that reality television has ever shown, and this season will likely be more of the same. The series has taken an unusually “political” turn, but continues down the same general path as the previous seasons.
