Supernatural Season 5:Supernatural Season 4 Finale – Supernatural:Season 4 finale called “Lucifer Rising” aired this evening on THE CW network. Here is what happened:

The apocalypse is coming, and Sam and Dean prepare for the fight in very different ways. Sam joins Ruby on a final run to kill Lilith, while Castiel and Zachariah kidnap Dean and tell him it’s time to play his part in stopping Lucifer. Zachariah later reveals to Dean that the angels are not trying to stop the final seal from being broken, and his job will be to defeat Lucifer after the Apocalypse happens. Castiel reveals to Dean that Lillith’s death is the final seal, and Sam will unknowingly free Lucifer by killing her. Dean convinces Castiel to help him escape so they can stop Sam from killing Lillith. At the end of the episode, Sam kills Lillith and Ruby reveals that she has been planning this outcome with Lillith all along. Sam and Dean kill Ruby as the door to Lucifer’s prison begins to open.

The CW has renewed Supernatural for a Season 5 but it might be the last season according to the show’s creator Eric Kripke who said:

“Yes, there is certainly more to explore. But we sort of have this five-year map. And Jared and Jensen like the idea of a five-year map because we work them so hard. It’s possible, but I don’t know…But a lot of these issues are beyond my control at the corporate level with ratings, etc. But my personal feeling is that I still want to go out in year five. It’s better to go out strong and on top than to be 8 or 9 years into a piece of sh*t. You want conclusions… you want to end it. It’s an epic story and epic stories deserve a good ending.”

Do you want the series to end next season?
That’s all we have for now on Supernatural Season 5:Supernatural Season 4 Finale.
