SyFy have officially canceled Stargate Universe and Fox TV Studios have announced that they are doing the same with The Good Guys, after weeks of speculation.
The second series of SGU, comprising 10 episodes, will be shown in the spring.
This will be the third Stargate franchise that has been canceled, along with Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis.
Recently the network also axed Caprica. In it’s place, SyFy will be premiering Being Human, and it will be keeping Warehouse 13, Eureka and Haven.
In addition to the above, a new project will begin soon – Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome.
Also not returning for another series is The Good Guys, after it lost over 1 million viewers throughout the series.
Janis Burklund of the Dallas Film Commission had this to say on the matter – “The Good Guys wasn’t cancelled. They completed and aired all the episodes that were ordered,” she wrote on a social networking website. “Unfortunately it appears Fox isn’t going to order a second season. May seem like the same thing, but it’s not. Still bummed regardless of course.”*Sponsored Links*
