Spartacus: Blood and Sand season 1 episode 9 titled “Whore” aired on Friday on Starz. Daniel Knauf wrote this episode that was directed by Michael Hurst O.N.Z.M.. The show is slightly improving if you can get pass all the sex scenes and violent fights. But we bet that the fans would not have it any other way.Nonetheless the series would probably benefit in term of credibility if it had a little bit less of these two elements.Despite this,we had some interesting scenes in the “whore” episode like when Batiatus had sex with a slave while his wife Lucretia was present and twisting his nipples.Here is more on Spartacus: Blood and Sand Whore.
Spartacus must fulfill the pleasures of the richest woman in Rome and do whatever duties necessary to accomplish this.

Batiatus putting Spartacus in a different setting was a very good idea on the writers’ part.It helped us see another side of him.
The end of the episode was really interesting and has fans wondering what’s coming up next.Ilithyia goes crazy after sleeping with Spartacus and ends up killing the other woman.The anger she displayed at that moment was really impressive to watch.Ilithyia seems to be taking a turn for the worse.The problem is that she is unaware of it.Overall we conclude that it was a good episode but there was definitely room for improvement.Next week the series will be back with an episode titled “Party Favors” as Numerius celebrates his birthday.

I actually thought this was on of the better episodes. I think that even Ray Charles could tell the difference between Spart and Crix. The show is a real mans show. I am very educated but the show peels back all cultural layers and provides a testosterone filled good time with lots of tasteful female trinkets to savor.
