So You Think You Can Dance 2010 – “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 6 Finale Part 1: Top 6 Perform aired last night on FOX.Everyone put their best foot forward in hopes of winning the contest later today. Here is a recap of the episode.
Kathryn and Ryan performed a Samba where all went smooth until Ryan decided to go shirtless.
Ellenore and Jakob took on Broadway Tuesday night where their energy and chemistry impressed the judges.
Now we move to Ashleigh and Russell who took on a Lyrical Jazz piece and Russell shined through while Ashleigh struggled with her shoulder injuries.
The perfect routine went to Ellenore and Ryan who did a Jazz piece.
Eventually Ashleigh and Jakob did the Foxtrot which bored the day light out of us.
Ellenore and Russell did a marvelous job on the Paso Doble.
Kathryn & Jakob did a Contemporary piece and it was extraordinary.
The married couple Ashleigh and Ryan took the stage together for the first time where they danced beautifully on a contemporary piece (Is Ryan killing his chances at winning to push his wife?).
Last but not least Kathryn and Russell took the floor for a Hip-Hop performance and wowed the judges.
We believe that Jakob or Kathryn should win the competition, what do you think? What are your thoughts on the episode?
That’s all we have for now on So You Think You Can Dance.

When does the new season start? You web site is a bit confusing; just fyi. I would think it would be much easier to find the start date of the new season? Please advise the date and time. THANKS a million.
I love your show and look forward to it. Your website, however, needs help. Very busy and there is no way to enter a search without it going out to Google.

So you think you can dance has really beginning to upset me. Seems they are taking only dancers that are professional dancers. Seems that those that are dancers that are taught from our home dance studios don’t stand a chance. The judges speak of stereo types. Well it looks like the judges have fallen into that snobbish stereo type as well. Why even have auditions? Seems they are there just to keep us the little people happy. I am not a dancer ,in my dreams I can sing and dance and this show to me is becoming more and more like American Idol. Auditions will not matter the winner will be predicted the second week of the show. These kind of shows are just simply becoming a entertainment to those that have no idea or even care as long as they are entertained during prime time.

Thank goodness for Nigel & Adam on the judge’s panel. Mia Michaels – great choreographer, not so great judge. Please take a cue from Nigel & Adam and keep your criticism constructive and keep your favourites private. If a hurtful comment is not constructive or purpose serving (‘I think we made a mistake last week’, ‘you don’t have *another dancer’s* heart) keep it to yourself. These are not comments that a dancer can use to enhance themselves.

I agree. Although Mia is insulting and rude, she will never be a Simon
because at least he is likable!

I want to see the all stars that did the couple loving but braking up with the door… most amazing preformance EVER!!! please bring that back… I am so sure that the viewers will agree, that we have seen greatness, but that dance was “THE” dance so many of us can relate too, and was beautifully done. Please please bring it to the show…. it’s like the love all of us have lost at one point or another, and that dance gives us hope. Sandy

Hi, can anyone help me figure out the name of a new singer that appeared on a season 7 elimination episode? She kind of reminds me of a young Lena Horne in sound and look. She wore a black suit and wore her hair in a pompadore (think James Brown). She had back up dancers as well. I can’t find her name anywhere to get some of her music. Thank you for your time and effort. God bless.
