So You Think You Can Dance 2010: Mia Michaels & Season 7 On Fox – ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ 2010/So You Think You Can Dance season 7 premiered last night on Fox.
After 6 seasons on the air the producers of the show found an original way to spice things a bit.
They have decided to have only have a top 10 (five guys and five girls) instead of the usual of top 20 in order to bring in 12 “all-stars” dancers who are past contestants from various seasons who are professional in their particular dance genre. These dancers won’t be judged, and won’t be choreographing.
The all star team is composed of:
Dominic Sandoval:Hip Hop/Breakdancing
Lauren Gottlieb:Hip Hop/Jazz/Contemporary
Comfort Fedoke:Hip Hop/Krump
Stephen “Twitch” Boss:Popping/Locking/Krump
Continuing with the big changes this season is the arrival of Mia Michaels, who is a very loud and opinionated Emmy-winning choreographer who will be replacing judge Mary Murphy.
Mia Michaels will be teaming up with Nigel Lythgoe and Adam Shankman to judge the contestants and bring lots of controversies.
In episode 1 we discovered the first round of auditions which took place in New York with Nigel Lythgoe, Adam Shankman and Mia Michaels serving as judges.
There were couple of interesting dancers who appeared on stage but Sarah Brinson is the one who stole the spotlight with her moves.
