Rosie O’Donnell Talk Show 2011 Return

Rosie O’Donnell Talk Show 2011 Return – After a short stint appearing on TV series such as The View, it appears as if Rosie O’Donnell will be going back to hosting her own television talk show in 2011. O’Donnell had hosted her own talk show in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s that was rated very highly among the target demographics. It is reported that she will be filling the void on ABC that will be left by Oprah Winfrey when she moves on to pursue other opportunities. It is unclear at this point if the new show will be a continuation of the old show or if she will be creating an entirely new show for her return to day time television. It has been reported that the deal is already in place, and just has yet to be announced by the television network. There are a number of reasons why the network may choose to wait to make the announcement.

The new show being handed to Rosie O’Donnell comes as a bit of a surprise to experts after her NBC variety show that aired of the Thanksgiving weekend of 2008 did very poorly in ratings. “The View” has also been tabbed as a potential replacement for the time slot that was previously occupied by the Oprah Winfrey show. Ellen DeGeneres also recently extended her contract with NBC, and is considering moving her show to adapt to the new day time television landscape that will be taking shape after Oprah leaves in 2011.
Rosie O’Donnell has not publicly commented on her new deal for her day time talk show, and the amount that the contract is worth is still unknown. Rosie O’Donnell has been at the center of controversy the last few years after leaving “The View” because of differences with some of the other hosts.
