Rosie O’Donnell Oprah Winfrey Network Talk Show – Rosie O’Donnell will be returning to television next fall with her own talk show on the OWN network, which is a television network that is owned by Oprah Winfrey and is rapidly expanding. In making the announcement, the former rivals were also announcing the fact that they are now playing for the same team. Rosie is a talent that dominated television for nearly twenty years. She brings an authentic voice to the network, and will be able to help them increase their user base.
“It’s an honor and a privilege to work with Oprah Winfrey on her network. I’m excited to be back on daytime television,” she said in a statement.
Rosie first revealed in March that she wanted to try another television talk show, and some had speculated that she might be offered Oprah’s time slot after Oprah goes off the air later in the year. However, Oprah quickly jumped at the chance to bring Rosie to her own network, and quickly secured a day time talk show for Rosie.
“Local broadcasters hate taking risks and were no doubt worried about just what kind of show the sometimes-controversial ex-Queen of Nice might be planning, even though O’Donnell and her partners had made it clear she wasn’t looking to turn into the female Keith Olberman,” said Joseph Adalian in a report.
Rosie is known for her energetic style that keeps her ahead of the curve. She is not afraid to say what is on her mind, and always invites popular guests onto her shows. It will be interesting to see how well she fits into the schedule on Oprah’s new network.
