Next Food Network Star:Next Food Network Star 2009 – The Next Food Network Star Season five premiered on June 7, 2009 on the Food Network.On episode one of the new season the contestants which are Debbie Lee,Eddie Gilbert,Brett August ,Katie Cavuto,Teddy Folkman,Jamika Pessoa,Jeffrey Saad, Melissa d’Arabian, and Michael Proietti were split up into two teams at Butter restaurant in Manhattan, and asked to cook for 75 guests at Food Network’s Sweet Sixteen bash.Jeffrey Saad, Melissa d’Arabian, and Michael Proietti won the challenge while Jen Isham was sent home.
