Modern Family Episode 7:Watch En Garde Online S01E07 – Modern Family Episode 7 entitled “En Garde” aired this evening on ABC.”En Garde” revealed that Manny who is a fencing prodigy (who would have ever imagined that) is the first in the family to really excel at something.Jay’s pride in Manny brought up some unsolved childhood issues for Claire and Mitchell who were great at figure skating but their father never showed any interest.Here is the premise of the episode:
The whole family comes out to support Manny’s newfound interest – fencing. It turns out he’s quite masterful in the sport, but Jay’s proud enthusiasm triggers an old childhood wound for Mitchell. Meanwhile Phil is determined to find where Luke’s hidden talents lie.
Here are few things that stood out this evening.Looks like the writers are getting a bit weary because this episode was not as good as the previous ones.But Mitch and Cameron delivered some of the best lines this evening like -”You love me in my yellow shirt.” “It makes you look like the sun.” or “I make home films not home movies.” Mitchell explained :”We were called Fire and Nice. I was Fire because of the red hair. And Claire was Nice because it was ironic and she wasn’t”.
Today is was interesting finding out that Gloria is from Barranquilla, Colombia just like Sofia Vergara.
