Damn, he was the best character imo. Very touching episode nonetheless

While I knew that they would be picking them off during the final season…..It was the wrong choice. He was the one that would have made the season. They should have chosen some of the “whore”ific staff members. My crew will not be watching the final season.

It made me so sad I cried. I really liked his character and was disapointed to see him go. Terrible when he was crying and the blood was pouring out of his mouth, that tore me up. And when they walked him to the elevator, I thought I would never stop crying. Well acted but I kind of wished I missed that episode– much too upsetting. What a terrible end to end him.

I have been a ER fan for so many years. I cant get enough. I have 20 old episodes from season 1 on my ipod… Last nights episode was gut wrenching! I was never reall ya big fan of Pratts character but he sort of grew on me. I am a big fan of ABBY, LUKA, AND CARTER!! I am also VERY happy to hear Dr. Green will be making 4 appearances this season. Does anyone know why Pratt was killed off so early in the season. This has me boggled! I really was upset over this episode as i see everone was. Then i hear Abby is leaving in the next one. I kind of wonder if i should continue watching because all the great actors have left the show. I can not stand Morris and im surprised to read he actually has fans. He’s really annoying to me!!! I will never understand the whole concept of getting rid of the good actors but remaining to keep the crappy ones. (i.e CSI : MIAMI Harashio) Cant act for crap but hes been on the show for years…

what does the writer of the blurb above mean by saying “Mekhi Phifer leaving ER made few people cried this evening.”?!?!?! I’m not ashamed to admit I bawled like a baby, like I knew him! That was a devastating episode and he was a great character/actor. He will definitely be missed!

I could not watch it. I could not bare seeing Dr. Pratt die. I had no idea it would affect me in that way. I have watched him since Clockers and I love him as an actor. Sad. Sad. Sad.

I’m dying to know that too? I couldn’t find it on the credits. It sounds, to me, like Joe Cocker or John Hiatt, but I’m not sure. Help, anyone?

I’m glad I missed it. My heart wouldn’t be able to take it. He was the only reason I still tuned into ER… and now, I won’t bother.

I BAWLED like a baby. It was so so sad. pratt was a great human being and so good to so many people. I guess Mekhi is on to better things now that I guess this is the final season. Too bad it is. Great show. Been watching since the beginning. So sad to take him off so early. Really will put a dent in the show.

I think Dr. Green died in a episode. But the season premiere I cried like a baby when all the doctors and staff were around and his brother was there when they pronounced him. I can’t wait to see Mekhi on the tube somewhere else. I recorded this episode and cried then too when I watched it again. It will be an interesting last season, I have watched ER from the beginning.

I am now watching the episode when Greg Jing-May, and Elgin wreck from road rage this is the saddest episode ever.I cried like a baby I love Dr.Pratt on ER I hope he does not leave the show.

Oh, my goodness, I know I’m late, but I too must comment about how this episode touched me and made me cry like a baby! I missed it the night it aired so I had to watch it online; I sat in my computer room and cried like a baby when I finally saw it. I’ve been watching the show since it came out and I’ve watched good actors come and go, either by death or just leaving and no departure hurt more than seeing Pratt go. His death is by far the saddest one I’ve seen! I was not too fond of him at first, but his character grew on me and I totally fell in love with him. It’s kind of difficult for me to watch the show now after actually seeing how he died.

Richie Havens sang that version but I cannot find a recording of it anywhere. Checked ITunes, Napster.
If anyone knows where a recording can be purchased please let me know. Thanks.

I have watched ER since it first came out and it makes me very sad that this is the final season. It has to be one of the best shows ever made.

I’m in the UK and I have just watched the first show back after waiting nearly a year to see the simmering good looking Mekhi P, & then he dies on the first episode!!! I’m so disappointed he’s the reason I have been watching Er for the last X years. I don’t think I’ll bother watching ER again.:( Bring him back make up a story I’ll believe it…a bad dream/nightmare
