“I screwed up”
Letterman replied:
“Can you stay?”
McCain responded:
“Yes, sir,depends on how bad it gets.”I asked my son, who is in the Marine Corps, to FedEx me his helmet and flak jacket for the occasion, “but it didn’t get here on time.”
