It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia season 6 episode 6 called “Mac’s Mom Burns Her House Down” which was directed by Matt Shakman and written by Scott Marder & Rob Rosell aired last night on FX.
This week’s installment gave us a more in depth look into the mothers behind our favorite characters, we also had few Golden Girls references and something about Muslims (Juan Williams and Bill O’Reilly were not the only ones trying to make headlines this week by talking about Arabs).
In “Mac’s Mom Burns Her House Down” we watch Mac and his mother who has a strange way of talking move into Charlie’s mom’s house after she accidentally burned down her home.
Mac and Charlie attempted to get the grannies to become good old pals – but their idea fails in a hilarious way.
But by the end of the installment Mac and Charlie’s moms do become friends with Mac’s mother fixing the ceiling fan and Charlie’s mom saying things like “Muslims,I wish they’d all go back to the desert,” which prompted her son to say “It’s not really a Golden Girls conversation, it’s more of a racist conversation,”
The subplot dealt with Frank who discovered the importance of paternal care when Dee fell ill and tried to get her dependent on him.
Last night we also met Poppins hat happens to be Mac old freaky dog which has a habit of popping his eye out and his owner pushed them back in with a knuckle.
Overall it was a pretty solid episode with some wild jokes and pretty controversial remarks about Muslims that might create some buzz in the media.
Here few funny tidbits:
Dee missing her love Josh Groban while tied to a bed and Mac being forced to interpret his moms grunts to Charlie so he can understand what the old lady is trying to say.
