Greg Giraldo Death : Comedian Dies – Greg Giraldo died after an accidental overdose. He had survived for several days in the critical care unit, but ultimately died at the age of 44. He had reportedly taken prescription medication. He was most known for having appeared on the now famous Comedy Central roasts, and on the reality television show “Last Comic Standing.”
A number of celebrities have already weighed in on the passing of one of the world’s most underrated comics of all time. Among the celebrities who took to Twitter to talk about his death were Dane Cook.
“Greg Giraldo may you RIP. My thoughts and prayers go to his family, friends and fans,” Cook said over his social networking account.
Louis CK also paid tribute to Giraldo, saying over his Twitter account that he thought that he was a good guy and that he was always happy to run into him.
It is interesting to see how many people became familiar with Giraldo after his many appearances on Comedy Central. He was also a regular on the Howard Stern program. His humor was vulgar, and mostly consisted on making fun of people, but he did have the unique ability to make people laugh.
The tragic news of his passing has made waves throughout the comedy industry. One celebrity, Gilbert Gottfried, roasted Giraldo following his death on Twitter.
