Family Guy Season 8 Episode 1:Watch Road To The Multiverse – Family Guy season 8 premiered this evening on FOX with the first episode titled “Road to the Multiverse” formerly known as Sliders which was inspired by the TV show Sliders ( a science fiction series that aired from 1995 to 2000 about travelers who “slide” between parallel worlds via what they called a wormhole meaning a ’shortcut’ through space and time dubbed “Einstein-Rosen-Podolsky bridge.”).The episode focused on the fifth road adventure taken by Brian and Stewie.Here is a recap:
After Stewie breeds a winning pedigree pig for Quahog Clam Day and shares a big secret with Brian that found the animal from a parallel universe.Stewie later shows Brian the remote that permits to visit the various parallel universes and gives the following details about his great findings:
According to Stewie each parallel universe shows Quahog in the same time and place, but under different conditions. So the pals decide to visit the different worlds to explore their new gadget but as you can imagine the timer stops functioning and they get stuck where they were and can no longer go home.
At the end they came up with a plan that consisted of returning home as dogs (but Brian is a human) to find a solution and successfully achieve their task.
Next week’s episode will be called “Family Goy” Lois will go from finding that she may have cancer to get the confirmation that she is Jewish. What are your thoughts on the episode?
