DirectTV has canceled the daytime soap “Passions” again.”Passions” was booted from NBC last August and now DirecTV is killing the show for real this time.Liza Huber who Gwen Hotchkiss in the soap offered the following statement on her website:
‘Hi Everyone, Yes, it is true that Passions will finish taping at the end of March 2008. We will start airing 3 days a week on DirecTV which should last through summer of 2008. It has been a wonderful ride (although Gwen has completely lost her mind!) and I want to thank all of you for your amazing support for Passions through the years!’
That wonderful TV drama will always be remembered. LOL.

IF ANY PASSIONS FANS ARE READING THIS, IT IS TIME THAT WE STARTED TO GET OTHER REGULAR TV CHANNELS TO AIR PASSIONS AT A LATER TIME LIKE 6PM SO WE ALL CAN ENJOY PASSIONS AGAIN FOR FREE AND GET BETTER RATINGS SINCE MORE PEOPLE ARE HOME AT THAT TIME. IT IS TIME WE WENT TO “MYNETWORKTV.COM” AND “CW11.COM” AND SEND THEM E-MAILS TO CONVINCE THEM TO PICK UP PASSIONS AND AIR IT AT A LATER TIME LIKE 6PM SO WE ALL CAN ENJOY PASSIONS FOR FREE AGAIN AND BRING BETTER RATINGS SINCE A LOT MORE PEOPLE WILL BE HOME AT THAT TIME AND A LOT OF YOUNG AUDIENCES WOULD ENJOY THIS SHOW SINCE MORE OF THEM ARE HOME THAT TIME. COME ON PASSIONS FANS, TODAY GO TO MYNETOWRKTV.COM AND CW11.COM AND E-MAIL AND GET THEM TO PICK UP PASSIONS.

I think that other T.V. stations should pick up passions so everyone could start to watch it again….I am a big passions fan and want to see it back on regular T.V. stations. Hope you take this comment into consideration.

I can’t believe that passions was cancelled so soon after it’s move to direct tv. It seemed like just a big scam to get more people to switch to direct tv.

It’s very sad that Passions is now coming to it’s second end on Direct TV, I really liked this little soap, sure it has lots of goovy moments, but when my mother was alive she would watch it with me. She passed in 2003, I changed from Dish Network that i had for 10 years to Direct TV just so I could contiune to see Passions. I will be switching back when I see the last episode on Direct TV. They, Direct TV lied to us all, and NBC is really stupid for not keeping Passions, just my take, Maybe oneday Passions will be resurected again oneday, if we keep the faith.
Just my take,
sf

Passsions started right after I had my nine year old. This show has a specail meaning to me. If it ends I just need Ethan and Teressa et to finally to get together so there can be hope in this world.

would someone please inform me if Passions has ended or do they still have a few weeks to go before it ends. First it was 4 days a week on direct tv, then it was 3 days a week. I couldn’t see it last Wed. or Monday of this week, now it is Tuesday and it’s not on. Perhaps Wed. of last week was it’s last day, if so I do wish I could see the ending show.
Thank you to who ever has this answer.

Seems to be that in the beginning when Passions was first switched over I had to like many of us sign into a DirectTV contract for a certain amount of time. Yes, they lured us good ol Passion fans hook line and sinker with the promise that we would still be able to watch our favorite show. Now here we are empty handed and tied to a service that really didn’t care to begin with. Deceptive advertising I think. Now it’s going to take just how long and what cost to get out of DirectTV. It seems to me that a good lawyer could represent a huge class action suit against DirectTV. Anyone know one?
Now I remember why we didn’t have cable or directTV for so many years. I hope Tabitha zaps them with a good old fashioned KARMA hex! What comes around goes around!

I have been a huge Passions fan since 1999. It was really a big disappointment for me when I heard that Direct TV was cancelling it. I really hope that someone will pick it because I miss the show dearly.

The only reason why I watched the 101 was because of Passions

I had started watching passions back in 99. I was 15 and I could relate to Teresa and Whitney. And it was so sad when little (Timmy) passed. But it was like a rerun over and over again with Teresa and Ethan, nearly together then not. And the whole little ethan thing was getting pathetic then Sheridan and Loise and Fancy don’t get me started! I refused to switch to Direct tv and I’m glad I didn’t! I was a fan and watched til the end on NBC. No matter how stupid it got I forced myself to watch! I am glad it was over. Teresa is the only Character that stuck to the show all the way through even though her character was retarded! GOOD JOB! Thanks anyway cuz you tried!

Now my sister had Direct tv and i go to her house every thursday and watch the whole week of shows that air and Now its gone. What am i to do. I’am so hurt; and I missed a lot since she canceled Direct tv. Please someone somebody bring the show back!!! Seriously I cant live with out it sometimes. My mind be stuck on the the show and I wont move until they preview for the next day. Somebody help us bring Passions on to regular cable
