Season 3 had Angel boring us with his pursuit of a vice-detective just to have the whole storyline vanish with two lines at the start of season 4. This paved the way for the least interesting subplot of Maria LaGuerta hooking-up with Angel, yawn. The flash-backs (a device from the series Kung Fu) that worked so well have been replaced with the spirit of Harry Morgan interacting with Dexter, did he suddenly become schizophrenic?
