Been fascinated by the Real Housewives of Atlanta. I enjoy it and can’t wait for a new episode to premier. I love everybody, except for Lisa and Cheree. I DO NOT understand their lavish, self-centered, “it’s all about me, gotta have a drink” lifestyles. Do these women have college degrees? Do they really understand the real meaning of life? Obviously not as they trudge through each and every day trying to look the best, shop the best, talk about their “friends” the best… Wow. I will take my menial educated upper middle class life. I am a wife, mother, educator and recovering alcoholic, (yes, the wine did eventually get to me and I preferred “white” also!)who strives to be a great example to my children. Wake up Lisa and Cheree. You will grow old and when you look back on your life, you will most likely wonder, “what the hell did I do with my life?????” Best of luck to all of you and I will keep watching.

I have been watching this show and am most disgusted with Deshawn. She is obviously a very ignorant person. Firstly, how is it that you can prepare young women for the future when you can’t even speak proper English?
What are you teaching them when you say, “I always knew I was going to be somebody”…simply because you married someone who is wealthy?? What have you done to earn your own money? What success have YOU accomplished by working hard? The real estate company is also a sham. How many listings has your company had this year?
What are you teaching them when they watch you interviewing people to work in your home doing the things that YOU should be doing. Why in the world do you need a nanny? What are you doing that prevents you from caring for your own kids? You don’t work anywhere…not for real! That foundation is a joke and a farce. According to a friend who used to work for the sham foundation, you hardly ever showed up.
While you are interviewing all of these people, why don’t you interview a personal trainer to help you work off some of that fat. Shouldn’t you be showing ‘your girls’ how important it is to be physically fit and not how to be a fat, lazy slob who just keeps piling on makeup and designer clothes on top of the fat????
Your husband seems like an intelligent man and I am just dumbfounded at the fact that he allows you to waste so much of his money the way you do.
And what about those disrespectful, rude, out of control kids of yours????? WTF???? You can’t even control your own kids…how is it that you intend to mold someone else’s kids.
Everything about you screams LAZINESS. You can’t even be bothered to open up your mouth to speak properly. Are your teeth wired shut or something?
And for Godssake, the word is JEWELRY!!!!! NOT JURY!!!!! As a black female, I just want to shake you. What a pathetic representation of black women you are! So very sad!
Do you really believe that you are SOMEBODY simply because you are married to a wealthy person? Because you live in a ridiculously expensive home? Why don’t you use some of that money to further educate yourself and to get professional help from an outsider to teach you how to manage your children as you obviously do not have a clue.
Why did you not show up on The Tyra Show with the rest of the cast? Did your husband forbid you to go because he can’t take any more of the embarrassment that you have brought on him?
I think that each woman on that show is a disgrace in many ways, but I take a major issue with you because you have a foundation that is supposed to be molding young women, and all you are showing them BY YOUR ACTIONS is that you need to meet someone who is already SOMEBODY and try to get them to marry you….then you proceed to spend their money in the most wasteful ways possible. Forget about focusing on your studies and working hard to build a career and a life for yourself….just forget about all of that.
I wonder how long before Mr. Snow files for a divorce. I’m sure that he did not realize what a train wreck his home life was until he saw it on television. I’m sure that his family is mortified. Do you even know how to cook? Do you keep your home clean? Or is that too much trouble for ya? Got to have plenty of time to stuff your face and spend money like water. Right?
If you would send your boys to my house for about a week, I promise you that they would return home as different people. There is no way I would tolerate such poor and disrespectful behavior from my kids. By the time they are teenagers they will be slapping you in the face and telling you what to do and where to go. They already have NO respect for you whatsoever.
What is really sad is that there are a lot of decent black men out there like your husband. The unfortunate thing is that most of them are married to shallow, ignorant, stupid, lazy, useless women like you who don’t possess an ounce of common sense.

I agree that she should reevaluate her own life and determine if she is really in a position to encourage young women with their self esteem issues, however out of all the housewives on the show i find it interesting that you did not chose someone else to express your opinions about because there is one in particular who really should be mention in depth.I also agree that she hides behind her so call hands on involvement in different charities to mask the fact that she doesn’t do anything productive or useful.

I have been watching this show, loved the Orange County version, wasn’t a fan of the New York version, and this Atlanta version is whack. These women really need to get some real meaning to their lives. One big question I have is what it the matter with DeShawn’s teeth? Other than the fact that they’re too big for her mouth! Get them chiseled down or something because they’re obviously preventing you from speaking clearly. NeNe has no class, Kim can’t sing worth a nickel, and Sherea(sp?)needs to stop tripping and thinking she’s the best looking thing on the earth because her look is nothing more than average with some weave. These women are not socialites, they aer just females who got lucky and married athletes. Not to diss ATL but there’s nothing great about any of these women other than who they are (or were) married to. And PLEASE stop with the Foundations! There are enough long standing organizations and foundations out there without these ladies creating these weak fly-by-night one. If you really want to do some good in the world and make a difference, then put your husbands’ money into one of the better known organizations that have a track record for results! Please bring this season to a close — fast!

while i never post messages on blogs this one was too good to resist!! Firstly, I must say that RHO ATL is pure entertainment. NeNe is my favorite because she is who she is even though she does not know that 1/2 is bigger than 1/3. NeNe is honest. The way DeShawn speaks just gets underneath my skin and her teeth!!! OMG! she has enough cash to get her grill fixed and have a personal trainer (and a stylist would not hurt either) But the fat jokes are just too much (funny but a bit much). If DeShawn was the girl next door her size would not be an issue nor would she be called fat…she is what one would call “thick”. However, if you are going to be on television and in the media, you should definitely be camera friendly and when you have the means to hire a personal trainer there is just no excuse. and could someone please tell me why she needs a damn nanny and a governess?

I watch the show and I’m impressed especially with Deshawn and NeNe, I was reading the comments mostly about Deshawn and as a respectful person myself, I found these comments very unpleasant. People are people, and if an individual is lucky enough to find happiness whether it be money, true love or in any case,”BE HAPPY FOR THEM AND WISH THEM WELL”. I think Deshawn and NeNe are amazing and I’m sure they are portrayed in a negative way, but it’s just a show. I love these 2 women because they are real. People, stop hating and be happy for whoever get’s lucky. lastly, although it’s just a show, I find Sheree’s actions very petty and cruel especially towards NeNe . I paid particular attention to Deshawn because I live in Eric Snow’s hometown and have known him casually since high school. I’d never met Deshawn but had heard ‘things’ thru the grapevine about how she treats Eric’s family who are awesome, down-to-earth people. She was an embarassment on the show. My opinion is that she has grandiose ideas of her worth and has a strong desire to be ‘famous’. What’s with the personal website?!? What an ego. She’s famous alright…but not for the right reasons. I wonder if her “foundation” isn’t a cover for tax purposes. I read another post somewhere that recommended that she use her money to support worthwhile Atlanta Foundations who are well established and already know what they’re doing. This whole thing is embarrassing.

Lisa is a real lady and so is Deshawn and Nene. After kim threated Nene the way she did just because she told her the truth about her none singing, I can not stand her anymore. I feel all these ladies on the show, just as everyone else does need a reality check. I’m not saying this because they are rich, but because they opened their lives up for the nation to see and they have sort of consented to being critiqued. I don’t feel jealousy or ashamed of these women. Everyone has their crosses to bear and it will be dealt with in due time.

Why hasn’t someone stated the obvious? None of these “housewives” live in Atlanta!!!!!!!! Why did Bravo feel they could only have black women on? If they would have come to Buckhead, where the real Atlanta Elite live, they could have shown some legitimate wealthy people who wouldn’t make fools of themselves. Oh yeah, they would have been white and that’s not what people expect to see from Atlanta.
Why didn’t they show REAL Atlantans in their show?
Sheree is the worst of them all. She says she’s “classy and sophisticated” yet she doesn’t even know how to pronounce the work “ask”. It’s NOT “Ax”, you ghetto trash!!!

I was raised by my Great Aunt who always told me that: If I cannot say anything good about someone to say nothing at all. I believe that as women espacially black women…instead of putting each other down we need to uplift each other. Wow!!!!!!! women are so caddy. DeShawn seems like a good God fearing young Lady that made some mistakes, however, she meant well and i’m sure that when she relect on things she will do things differentlt nexttime. Wow! I googled “what’s wrong with Deshawn’s mouth Altanta Housewives” and ended up on this hater blog/comment page. First, you all should remember and know that BRAVO is a television network work show for entertainment! The operative word is “ENTERTAINMENT.” Believe you me these television producer are reading these comments especially the negative one; and toasting and cheering to champage with the mantra statement “JOB WELL DONE” to all of their staff who worked hard in developing and cultivating the Altanta Housewives Television show. Im personally a FAN of the Orange County Housewives. And I am African American descent; and you won’t catch any of those ladies doing any darn house work! KUDOS to all the ladies who have house cleaners and personal cooks! Cooking and Cleaning doesnt make you a REAL WOMEN children. So who ever told you that little lie growing up; Im here to undo that lie and tell you don’t believe the hype that your ole’ school mother and grand mother with good intentions told you! Okay, with that said it was really nice seeing the Alanta Housewives on the air! Considering they took girlfriends off. So any show that has women of color I’m watching! I loved Deshawn on the show because she wasn’t being fake for the camera, or manufacturing some phony beef just for ratings. I think her family is a positive example for young women. She has a successful and gorgeous husband, who loves and respects and she has 3 adorable sons. I definitely don’t see her as being a disgrace to black women; its not like she’s doing drugs or prostituting, or stealing, or a million other truly disgraceful things. She has a college degree and she also runs her own real estate company; so she’s definitely not lazy. Why are people so quick to try and tear each other down? Deshawn Snow is one of the most positive representations of a Black a woman that I’ve seen on TV in very long time. I am a 22 year old college educated Black female and it is important to see a positive black family image. I aspire to one day have a husband and some kids like Deshawn. So keep doing your thing Deshawn.

Like someone previously mentioned, I came across this blog while looking for other information. It’s amazing how involved we get with these reality shows. Ladies, please don’t continue to demean yourselves and others with such negative talk. Some of the behaviors of the cast were not the most becoming, however the show’s producers edited the rest to give you something to talk about … and it worked. As for the young lady who proudly chose to share the extent of what she believes to be her relationship with a married man … you have my sympathy. In closing, those women agreed to do the show because they each have their own agenda to promote. Nothing more, nothing less.

I am really currious about where “The Truth” disappeared to. I suppose she could not handle the truth, when she was confronted about her comments, which were likely BS. Truth or not, she got on the internet to blast someone who is getting paid to be seen. You on the other hand, are letting the world (or at least those of us on this site) know how much of a whore you are, for FREE. Don’t you know that married men don’t leave their wives. I think the show is funny. Nene is my favorite. I hope that she did not loose her home. Deshawn seems like a really nice person. I can’t stop focusing on her mouth when she talks, but I think she must have veneers. I think veneers inhibit your speech. I spoke with a friend who said she would hire a staff to help her if she had a rich husband. I don’t agree I think that money could better spent. If I had a house that big I would have a house keeper, But I would always cook Eric a wonderful meal prepared by my hands only so that he knows I am thinking of him. Small things like that matter to a man that can buy whatever he wants. I am no english major but if some of you are going to talk about grammar please use spell check and grammar check too.

I sorry I must disagree with you about Deshawn. At first I had issues with her because of how she was hiring people to do everything for her but the more I watched the show I understood her better. If I dated a man through out college and we struggled for years until he made it big, I think I would sit on my behind too. Eric and Deshawn were college sweethearts so for you to make a comment that she can’t mold young woman is a bit unfair and it seems as if you are angry or jealous. I could see where you are coming from if she was a golddigger like Kim who just happen to find a married multi-millionaire but I feel Deshawn has paid her dues.

Amen, Amen, Amen! You broke it down, down, down. I checked out her foundation’s website and I wasn’t surprised at how she really amps herself up. I am Black/AA woman and mother myself and I was upset to see her COMPLAIN about taking care of her own kids while Eric was away working. She didn’t mind laying down making and having them though. Oh nevermind that was for insurance. I also feel that it was so unnecessary for her to name her foundation after herself. She is all about the attention, money and fame. That’s it. Hopefully one day Eric will wake up.
