I though the episode “The Table Read” was the most tasteless and irresponsible episode of any show that I have ever watched. The references to a 9 year-old girl’s anatomy and condition was vulgar and disgusting. There are so many violent crimes committed against small children and this attempt at “humor” could only serve to justify abominable behavior in some sick people’s minds. I am not a big fan of Larry David (now justified in spades!) and only watched to see the Seinfeld cast. Unfortunately, the reprehensible plot line about the little girl only served to diminish the once iconic status of the Seinfeld cast, some of whom I know have small children of their own. I am shocked that HBO allowed this episode to air.

Obviously you didn’t enjoy it, as you’re not an avid Curb Your Enthusiasm viewer. Satire goes right over your head.

My husband and I caught only the end of “The Table Read” episode. We watched thr reference to the 9 year old and thought that we had missed something earlier about the child’s cat. We were both stunned to learn that that was not the case. Both of us had been huge Seinfeld and Larry David fans. I say “had been” because neither of us can look ourselves in the mirror while we excuse Larry David et al for bringing TV to a new low. Shame on HBO for having anything to do with something that crosses the line into pedophilia. More people should be outraged.

that ep. rocked, just like the rest, if you find it tasteless and pathetic you shouldnt watch the show from the get-go. the whole show is offensive in its own reality accept and move on.

I was shocked at the reference to the 9 year old child. I am a avid Seinfeld and Curb your Enthusiasm fan, however, I believe this episode an afront to decent society. I question why Larry David thought this to be funny and question why the cast agreed to be part of this show… and also question why HBO allowed it to air. Satire? absolutely not.

offensive it its own reality? It is never “ok” to make those types of comments about a child..

i’m glad you guys didn’t like the episode

larry’s always said that nothing on the show is sacred – everything is up for grabs. and obviously, while you may laugh at the plight of handicapped or racism in past episodes you kept watching. but when an issue that finally affected you came up, you gave up on it. stop being so sensitive and take it for what it is: comedy.
