All the guests and host are expressing their personal best to BB. I found him to be very likeable, guy next door kind of person. I hope this move is for the best, whether for personal or professional reasons.

i have watched in the kitchen with bob bowersox for 6 years and have bought alot on his recomendations. if QVC was dumb enough to fire him, they have lost my business and i hope other dedicated fans as well. he will be missed.

I worked with Bob at QVC for over 15 years as I was a vendor until I reited in 03′. I considered Bob a friend and a great host! I have not spoken to him since 03′ I wish him the best. he was always a true professional!

I have been watching qvc since it 1st started. you certainly don’t know who to keep and who to get rid of-salary get too high? I am never going to watch in the kitchen again. you disgust me. you get rid of all the good hosts and keep all the bad ones.

I to was looking forward to Sunday with in the kitchen with Bob Bowersox. He was so down to earth with all his knowledge.I still like the in the kitchen but it’s not the same. Today I thought the show would be on and instead it was the silver show. Their are a lot of changes with QVC and I don’t like it. I’ll have to go to another show from now on. Good luck to Bob where ever he is.

Watch out Marybeth you may be the next Bob. QVC is getting on my nerves. That’s corporate America for you.

Every Sunday I always made time to watch In The Kitchen With Box. I miss him and QVC is not the same without him! I have noticed that some of the items that I have ordered lately are not the same good quality that I use to receive. Does anyone know if QVC is having financial difficulty? I know that nothing stays the same but I might find another online co. to start ordering from.

qvc POWERS THAT BE: You can check out my membership record…it’s my hope that ALL MEMBERS boycott your cooking show. Bob was one of the first show hosts. He had class and ALL OF US respect and love him and wish him well in any endeavor. I hope he reads all of these comments so he will know that qvc lost the Q in “quality” the day you left. God bless you and your family, Bob. If you have a website, let us know how you are and if we can follow you somewhere. SHAME ON qvc (forever now in lower case and LOWER CLASS)!!!

I ALWAYS enjoyed watching “In The Kitchen With Bob” and always enjoyed Bob and his easy going nature. He inspired me to cook and my “QVC kitchen” is basically due to him. Since he’s gone it’s DEFINITELY not the same and I think QVC ought to rethink their decision on letting go one of the finest men and chefs. Like Ms Kenney said, “QVC has lost the Q in quality the day he left.” I’m NOT inspired by anyone else and I hope he joins another home shopping network to sell their products. I will definitely start shopping there if that ever happens. QVC has started a slide downhill with their policies and don’t live up to the standards they set so long ago. I’ve been with them since the CVN days so I “do” know what I’m talking about.

My comment…You must be crazy to let Bob go…

I,m also done with QVC and I been a Customer for over 20 years….

I contacted QVC after Bob’s departure for an explanation, not one time did they respond, I found this offensive as a customer. I for one have ceased to shop and only watch periodically on Sundays to see if QVC have came to their senses by returning him to his rightful place.
I truly hope HSN hires him, what a wonderful slap in the face that would be for his former employer.

How do you know he was fired? I hope not. I loved his show and miss him a lot!

  17. Shirley | Apr 3, 2009 | Reply

I too, just like all of the others feel that qvc has made a terrible error in judgement if
they did in fact fire Bob. If I was not at work
on sunday, I made sure that I watched in the
kitchen with Bob. I loved the show. I am so glad that I found this, because I had no idea
what had happened to him. I also hope that he is reading all of these messages, and just know
that he is truly missed. God bless you Bob and
your family. Love and good wishes to you.

I have watched in the kitchen with Bob for years. Bob is/was the best host on QVC. Why the
company would get rid of him is mystery. I wish him the best. I all so will watch him on what ever show he showes up on. David Venable
is no Bob. I hope they bring Bob back.
Good Luck Mr. Bowersox you will be missed

As with many of the others here I was shocked and dismayed to learn of Bobs ” leaving “. I saw the short vid of his farewell, seemed like QVC covering their 6. I always as others tuned in on Sundays to watch In the Kitchen with Bob, NOT DAVID. I can’t stand his stupid mugging for the cameras when he eats trying to tickle the lonely old ladies out there. Bob presented things with a knowledgable, and not condescending voice, he was appreciated and missed.

Iam really upset with QVC. I do not shop with them any longer. I can’t stand DAVID eating like a pig and rolling his eyes. Jill is a know it all and acts like a child and needs attention. I click it off..

I will never again purchase anything from QVC because of their “Cinco de Mayo Celebration”. Putting profit ahead of what is best for our Country –the U.S.A. — cannot be tolerated. What a shame! QVC is just another sell-out company!!

I am sad that Bob is no longer on the show. At this time the show stinks. I will no longer watch the watch QVC and make orders as I used to. I’ve been a member for many years and I don’t like what I see. Bob made that show. I hope that he will be on another cooking program. I’ll watch that one instead.

Sorry to see Bob gone. I have stopped watching qvc altogether now. There has been a consistent drop in the quality of products and as far as In the Kitchen with David they might as drop the show altogether

  29. Gail Pfeiffer | Jun 6, 2009 | Reply

I agree that the quality at QVC is slipping; and, the loss of Bob is just another symptom. Who is hiring these silly show hosts? Additionally, the quality of the merchanize is not what it once was … where is the quality in QVC?

How do you know why he was fired. There may be a very good reason. Personally i found him boring and i have to tell you he was not a chef. i emailed him twice to ask what culinary school he attended. he never answered.

Wow I really cannot believe how some people just spout off such hateful remarks to people and about people they probably have never met and have only seen on TV… Come on people for pete’s sake.. Get a life!!! If you are going to put that much energy into being nasty make sure its about something that matters–with everything going on in the world today cant we obsess about something other than a QVC TV host? This is really over the top!! Good day to all..

  34. PanamaO | Jul 19, 2009 | Reply

Come on people; it’s only the host of a shopping network cooking show! I agree with Debbie K that if this is that important to you, that you need to get a life! David Venable is doing a fantastic job in his place, so nothing has been lost. I only searched to see what had happened because I don’t watch as often and just noticed Bob’s not there anymore. Other than that, I’d watch “In the kitchen with Mary Beth” if that’s what it came to.

  35. Don Harper | Jul 25, 2009 | Reply

I think that most people would agree, commenting on something that people enjoy is not unusual. To the person commenting “Get A Life”. Obviously you spend time posting so the same might be said about you. The way the whole thing was handled by QVC was what stunk. While I like David I simply do not believe that he is a fit for this segment. I too tire of his constant mugging and eye rolling. The quality is poor and just try to get something returned and credited to your account. It is like they are performing surgery or something. I watch far less than I used to which is great because it is saving me money. That new host, or as I have heard Rick call him “an assistant” really leaves something to be desired. Seems like a pretentious brat if anything!

  36. Linda | Jul 26, 2009 | Reply

I, too, found Bob B quite the bore. He never purported to be a chef, thta I heard anyway. He was promoted as having once owned his own restaurant.

  37. mary ann | Jul 28, 2009 | Reply

Enjoy David, brought life back into the kitchen. I think the mugging was a once in a while thing and then became a more popular as almost everyone who calls who calls when David is on tell him how they love watching when he mugs with food.

  38. Doris | Aug 2, 2009 | Reply

I’m sure Bob B was a good man but, I found him to be sooooo boooring!! As far as David V. OYE!!! Can’t watch him, hate those goo, goo, eyes he makes
What about Lisa Robertson? Doesn’t she love looking in the monitor at herself?

  39. TERESA | Aug 3, 2009 | Reply

I agree with everyone else…Bob will be missed! And as far as the comments being made about a couple of the other host(esses), Jill, the self-made, instant authority on all things household, and Motherhood…not to mention the
narcissistic, voyeur of her own camera image, Lisa Robertson…well each show has to have its resident clowns?
All other host and hostesses really seem to put forth an effort to do a fine job.
Makes one wonder how those two got to the positions they are in at QVC???

I just realized Bob was gone. I liked him, I think his presentation was good for QVC.
I have to admit there were times that I thought he sounded “done” with it all. Maybe time had just come to an end for both parties.

    Best Wishes Bob.

I don’t know if Bob Bowersox was fired. I was told he retired from QVC’s customer service. Personally, I am glad he is gone from QVC. I was watching QVC one time when Microsoft was on the brink of issuing their latest operating system and a caller/customer asked Bob on the air should I buy this computer with its current operating system or should I wait. To sell the computer that he currently had on QVC he gave her bad advice and said buy this computer. You won’t need the new one. After that advice from Bob to that customer I would never go with what he says. That latest operating system from Microsoft required new hardware to operate it. He gave poor advice and if QVC fired him and I don’t know that QVC did, I think it was the best thing they could do for their channel. QVC’s products do still have excellent quality. A loyal customer, Angela Collins

I’m glad Bob is gone. I found him boring also. David is enthusiastic and is a joy to watch. As for the rolling of his eyes, I also have heard many people call in and ask him to do that after he takes a bite of food. It doesn’t bother me.
As for the comments about Lisa Robertson, I have noticed her looking at herself in the teleprompters also but it is usually after she just put on some jewelry and it looks like she is admiring the jewelry that she just put on. Lisa Robertson is great for QVC because you know she definetly loves jewelry and knows what she is talking about. Lisa Robertson is a beautiful and intelligent woman. The other women’s negative comments about Lisa Robertson on here just sound like they’re jealous of her. I’m guessing you are not as beautiful as Lisa Robertson is in appearance. Sounds like jealousy to me.

  44. Vivienne | Aug 13, 2009 | Reply

I AGREE GLAD BOB IS GONE. I PREFER DAVID BY FAR COMPARED TO BOB.
QVC’s quality is still excellent. If I ever have to make a return (which isn’t too often) I never have a problem with the return or with getting a credit for the return on my account. I will also continue to shop on QVC. QVC is the best shopping network. If you want poor quality merchandise shop on HSN. I also think Lisa Robertson is the best host QVC has on their channel. They’re lucky to have her. She has the charisma to get people to watch and buy with her great personality.

  45. Ann | Aug 16, 2009 | Reply

I am sorry to see Bob go too, he was a great host. I like Mary Beth, she is a nice and pretty lady who does not have to look at the teleprompters all the time like Lisa Robertson. I just hope you are more carefull in hiring and firing, you lose customers by not thinking it over. God Bless you Bob in all you do now.

  46. Josephine Armano | Aug 21, 2009 | Reply

Where is Leah. I am thinking it has been 1 month since I last saw her. I hope she’s not another one to get fired. She is the nicest, most sincere person there.

I for one think that Bob was a good host. There are others on the show that think we are idiots the way they talk to us through the camera. However, for whatever reason it was a business decision. I hope he was not fired though. Maybe they offered him a role he wasn’t pleased with.

In any event, I have been shopping with them for 20 years and I do agree with some that the quality is going down hill. Missing parts, things not working very well. Also when they say customer top rated – read the reviews. A lot of customers say otherwise.

    Good luck Bob

  48. Pattie | Aug 26, 2009 | Reply

The shopping network hosts are basically one and the same. They need a whole lot of attention. David and Lisa top the list! David’s personality is too exaggerated and crosses the obnoxious line but he seems to attract an audience. He is so flaming gay that I am surprised that the cameras are not blinded by his lights. Lisa is not as attractive as she thinks she is. Her head is too big for her body and she puts me in mind of a human bobblehead. I think she needs to learn that she is no more special than anybody else. She was probably threatened when the Aussie hostess was on. Now that Davinia is gone, Lisa can go back to her personal feeling of being the QVC eye candy! Bob Bowersox was probably let go because he was beginning to show his age. QVC did him a favor because he seemed far too nice and down to earth than his co-hosts.

I miss seeing Bob Bowersox. I had noticed that he hadn’t been wearing his wedding ring but I thought maybe it had something to do with cooking. Also I noticed that he used to always talk about his wife and her mother and he stopped doing that. Where is he now and did he and his wife work out their differences?

I agree with the comment made by Pattie re:Lisa resembling a bobblehead. I always thought of the Bratz line of dolls with the oversized eyes, lips, cheeks, but their heads are normal sized. Bobblehead is a much better description. To be honest, Lisa needs a large head to accommodate her large ego. If she was as pretty as she thinks she is, she’d be gracing the cover of Vogue. I never watch when she’s hosting anymore. LISA, COME BACK TO EARTH AND I’LL RETURN TO YOUR VIEWING AUDIENCE.
