Barbara Walters Interview With Oprah – Winfrey: I Am Not A Lesbian

Oprah Winfrey vehemently denied the rumors which have been circulating about her and journalist Gayle King, saying that she is not in fact a lesbian.

The talk show host could be seen tearing up during the interview with Barbara Walters, saying that people must think that she is lying but that she is not. Oprah calls King “the mother she never had” and says that he has always only been a very good friend and nothing else. The two met in 1980 when her show first started taking off on television.

Since the duo started working together and being seen in public at all times, rumors started circulating about whether or not Oprah is gay.

The TV talk show host went as far as to say that she isn’t even “kind of gay” and doesn’t have any curiosity towards that type of thing. The 20 year relationship that Winfrey has had with King has always drawn speculations as to her sexual orientation, but she always denied it and continues to do so.

Oprah has had a relationship with Stedman Graham, a successful businessman, for more than 20 years and says that she is completely straight. Oprah is currently in the process of gearing up for the 2011 debut of the Oprah Winfrey Network.
