American Idol May 11 2010:Watch AI Season 9 Episode 38 Online S09E38 – The remaining 4 “American Idol” finalists took the stage to perform solos followed by duets during Tuesday’s edition of movie-themed performances,with the help of Jamie Foxx as their mentor. Here is the recap of the episode:

Lee Dewyze took on “Kiss From a Rose” by Seal (Batman Forever) :
The panel agreed that he did an OK job but he could have picked a way better song.

Michael Lynche sang “Will You Be There” (Free Willy) by Michael Jackson:
Overall it was very confusing even-though he tried to put his heart in it.

Lee Dewyze and Crystal Bowersox teamed up for the song “Falling Slowly” from Once:
It was one of the best performances of the night thanks to the good song choice and the great chemistry that existed between the two.

Casey James sings “Mrs. Robinson” (The Graduate) by Simon and Garfunkel:
Casey sounded cool and Kara liked the idea that he sang about a cougar but Simon blasted him by saying that he sounded lazy.

Crystal Bowersox performed “I’m Alright” (Caddyshack) by Kenny Loggins:
According to the judges it was a great performance where Bowersox took a song made it better and proved that she’s an artist.

Casey and Mike got together for “Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman” (Don Juan DeMarco) by Bryan Adams :
Overall it was a very moving performance that went out to the ladies.

It was a good episode that proved one thing:the remaining contestants sound terrible alone and excellent together and should therefore form a band.
