‘American Idol’ judge Jennifer Lopez was heartbroken recently, after she was forced to send home a candidate who had captured the nation with his enchanting story of true love.
Singer Chris Medina was sent home, and Lopez burst into tears when she said, “It honestly breaks my heart to say this, but you did not make it into the top 24.”
Although Medina took the news quite well, telling the cameras, “Now I’m gonna go home and keep writing music, you know, take care of my fiancée and make a miracle happen,” Lopez was quite depressed about the situation.
“I just don’t feel like I told him in the right way…I felt so bad. I don’t want to do this any more,” she said. However, fellow judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler both comforted the female judge, with Jackson saying, “You did it the best way possible.”
Lopez was crushed when she had to eliminate another contestant, Hollie Cavanagh, telling the girl, “I was outvoted here. I wanted to put you through. I honestly think you have one of the best voices, and you belong in the top 24.”*Sponsored Links*
