American Idol 2010 Top 5 Frank Sinatra Night:Watch Season 9 Episode 36 Online S09E36 – American Idol season 9, episode 36 aired last night on FOX, with the 5 finalists competing on songs taken from Frank Sinatra’s repertoire. Who enchanted the judges? Who fell flat? To answer these questions, please check out our recap below.
Every time I turn American Idol on, I’m sure to be entertained. Whether it is lack of ability, poor ability, or funny comments from the judges, leaving the screen with a smile is a definite possibility. This week’s episode was likely to be exactly that!
Thankfully, the lack of ability the judges possess has now been discarded as the crowd is now holding the fate of the top 5 contestants in the show. Surely this is simply a marketing ploy to get more and more viewers?
Harry Connick, Jr had his work cut out as he was available to help the contestants battle the up hill struggle that was Frank Sinatra night. Of course, he certainly was not alone, as he had his band and Connick, Jr. all on hand to help him out through his mentoring process.
Aaron Kelly was the first to be put on stage and of course, the first to be stung by the judges. Randy seemed to like his tone and vocal control, although Ellen claimed that she could not even hear his country vocals, which of course, was the whole point of this weeks work.
Casey James was the next to be taunted on stage. Previous weeks had seen the judges ask for a pure vocal performance rather than a tarted up stage performance. Casey went straight ahead and gave them what they asked for although the judges seemed to dislike it!
Crystal Bowersox, Michael Lynche and Lee Dewyze finished up the show in style. All three managed to give off a great performances performance with the overall consensus being that they are developing into great singers. Of course, anything can happen with no real underdog in the fray, who will end up taking the American Idol crown, and will the others be quickly forgotten?
