I also think it is similar to what it would look like if you combined the red dress and the black and white dress above. But I don't know when McQueen first showed this dres for Kenley to see. I don't know if she pays that much attention to tother designers. I also think that her dress has a simliar feel to her 1940s/50s style so I think that it is perfectly convceivable that she would come up with an idea like this on her own, especially if McQueen only showed these dresses in the latest fashion week (Sept 09).
