Jack and Agent Walker continue to be impeded by the police while Dubaku awaits the arrival of Marika. Marika arrives, and joins Dubaku as they head presumably to the airport. Jack and Agent Walker intercept their location, only to see the vehicle involved in a single car accident as a result of some quick thinking by Marika. The driver is shot dead by Jack, and Dubaku and Marika are pulled from the burning wreckage. Marika dies on the scene, while Dubaku is cut open on scene to retrieve a disc containing a database of co-conspirators. This disc is promptly taken to Agent Moss for examination, upon where traitor Sean and his accomplice mistress attempt to wipe the servers clean. They fail at doing so, and Sean is taken into custody. Bill attempts to petition the president for Jack’s situation. In the meantime, Almeida confronts Jack with news of another imminent attack on the country.
